
Wheel play detectors allow the tester to observe excess play in steering and suspension joints by applying forces to the wheels using hydraulically driven plates. They are required for MOT testing and can be used to find faults in normal service workshops.
Werther Wheel Play Detector
Werther’s steering and suspension play detector, with 2 movements, is DVSA approved. This wheel play detector is approved for both Class IV and Class VII MOT testing.
MOT Standard WPD. Model number; L1168 MOT. Max thrust for each plate 800 kg. Available as a double or a single plate for both Class IV & VII.
MOT Single Plate WPD. Model number; OMA 547SPF Hydraulic Play Detector. Max Thrust for plate 800 kg.
